Given the condition of our current mailboxes, the ARC committee did research to provide a reasonable, attractive, and cost-effective replacement. That replacement is the “The Beaumont Mailbox Model N1021785” from American Postal Manufacturing, a Division of Post Products Unlimited (see enclosed sheet or the website www.mailproducts.com/Product/N1021785.htm ). It includes the mail box, newspaper slot, and scroll. The mailbox features include “single body construction for leak protection and UV inhibitors to keep color from fading”, “spacious mailboxes with a detailed roof and rust resistant door hinge”, and “each post is made out of molded plastic and has a direct burial system”. This mailbox is also approved by the US Postal Service. Interested homeowners will need to purchase a surface mount upgrade (Item #N1025291) to install the mailbox over the existing ground attachments. The total cost per mailbox plus shipping charge (shipping subject to change) is $236.85.
To order a new mailbox, use the information on the enclosed sheet. You must indicate your company name as “ Laurelwood Bayside Lakes ” or use the Sales Quote Presentation Number to get the Laurelwood quoted price. Order from Brian Majewski using the 1-800 number on the sheet. Order by February 28 th, 2007 to receive the lower shipping rate quoted on the enclosed sheet. Homeowners will receive installation instructions, house numbers, etc. from the ARC committee upon receiving their mailbox. In order to be reimbursed when the legal action resolves, please retain your original receipt for proof of purchase.
Again, purchasing a new mailbox now is optional for homeowners. After two years, all homeowners will need to upgrade in order to maintain the beauty of our neighborhood and comply with deed restrictions. During the next two years, the Board hopes that the legal action will be settled and all homeowners will equally share in the resolution. Those homeowners who have replaced their mailbox will receive an equal share of the settlement as will a homeowner who has not. We cannot predict at this time if that equal share will cover the cost of the new approved mailbox.
